A new ACWA member in 2024, Innovative Ag Services (IAS) was incorporated in 2005, but the company’s roots go back to 1969. The full-service cooperative supports sustainable agriculture production and serves farmers at more than 30 locations in the northeast quarter of Iowa as well as southwestern Wisconsin.
In addition to grain, feed, and energy, Innovative Ag offers sustainable agronomic services to their customers including soil sampling, technical and financial assistance with cover crops and reduced tillage, carbon program enrollment assistance, low carbon biofuel data management, and watershed initiative partnerships. All of these services are aligned with ACWA goals.
Becoming an ACWA member was important to IAS leadership, as it helps the cooperative demonstrate their long-term commitment to sustainability and conservation in agriculture. Their customers are dedicated to improving soil health and protecting water quality and IAS continues to support them through ag conservation practices using new tools and resources. Their sustainability lead person and on-staff conservation agronomist are available to guide customers with new practice adoption and help with arising issues.
Innovative Ag Services is exited be a part of ACWA to help strengthen connections with their customers as well as other ag retailers to share and learn about successfully implemented conservation practices.
